Apprenticeships available

Carve out your career and skills at Kent's leading entertainment venue. The roles include weekday and weekend work, particularly during school holidays. Minimum 16 hours / wk, may progress to 39 hours / wk during peak periods. Duration: 1 year, 1 day. The apprenticeship schemes we have available are:

  • Kitchen services
  • Level 2 professional cookery
  • Customer services
  • Front of house (food and beverage)
  • Level 2 team leader
  • Level 2 food production
  • Key skills - Maths & English (if required)

Kitchen Staff – Cafe Staff

The Hop Farm

The Hop Farm is one of the most famous and recognisable features of the Garden of England, boasting the world’s largest collection of iconic Victorian Oast houses. We open our gates to over 500,000 visitors every year offering a wealth of events and attractions for all ages to enjoy. Stretched over 500 acres of beautiful countryside we can hold an array of functions and events throughout the season.

The Roles

To assist our catering team across site in each of our venues to create the perfect experience for our customers and clients. Candidates may be required to work in a variation of settings including cafes, both front of house and in our kitchens, at functions including weddings, festivals, and the general running of the park.

Hours

Shifts are flexible and may involve weekends. Shifts can range from early mornings to late evenings, dependent on events and functions taking place.

Candidates

Will have prior experience in the Hospitality or Catering industry. Level 2 Food and Hygiene certificate essential. Will ideally have their own transport due to the location of The Hop Farm.

Must be over the age of 16.

Pay

Dependent on experience

Part-time - casual contract - hours varying seasonally.

Our Animal Farm Manager is recruiting! She has created a rescue farm where the animals are either unwanted pets or cruelty cases. The main thing she is looking for in a potential employee is kindness; someone who TRULY loves animals. The ideal person will be experienced with horses (particularly driving) and enjoy working with children. The role will include: animal husbandry and exercising, interacting with the public and hosting children’s birthday parties and school visits. Hours will be very flexible and will vary with the season.
