Few bands have enjoyed the success and longevity of Simply Red. With over 60 million albums sold worldwide, 5 x UK #1 hit albums and over a billion views on YouTube, Simply Red remain one of the UK’s most successful bands. Their most recent album ‘Blue Eyed Soul’ was released in November 2019 and crashed into the UK charts at #6, proving Simply Red to be as relevant as ever.

Mick Hucknall formed Simply Red in 1985 in Manchester and enjoyed immediate success with first single ‘Money’s Too Tight To Mention’ and the BRIT Award-nominated album ‘Picture Book’ (the first of 13 nominations, and 3 BRIT Award wins). This was followed by a decade of superstardom and global hits. Simply Red were nominated for 3 prestigious Grammy Awards and continue to consistently sell out tours across the globe.

Their live show is renowned for its high quality with Mick Hucknall long-established as one of the great vocalists of contemporary music. His raw honey and whiskey tone, and ability to shift from tender sensuality to full on roaring power in a heartbeat, is guaranteed to bring the biggest of crowds together to create an unmissable atmosphere.

Music fans will be in for a real treat as Lisa Stansfield also takes to the stage as part of these huge live music events. After being introduced to Coldcut in 1989, her guest vocals helped ‘People Hold On’ storm the charts and led to a solo career which saw the Rochdale star conquer the world with her accessible soulful dance music. She went on to win 3 BRIT Awards, 2 Grammy nominations, and enjoy a string of hits, including worldwide #1 smash, ‘All Around The World’, on her way to selling over 20 million albums. A proven talent, Lisa Stansfield is sure to get the crowds up and dancing.

British musician, YolanDa Brown, has been added to the lineup for this Simply Red huge outdoor show this summer. The award-winning saxophonist is known for her delicious fusion of reggae, jazz and soul and two UK Jazz Chart No.1 albums ‘April Showers May Flowers’ and ‘Love Politics War’. She has toured with The Temptations, Jools Holland’s Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, and Billy Ocean, and performed on Jools’ Annual Hootenanny in show-stopping renditions of ‘I Put A Spell On You’ with Kelly Jones from Stereophonics, and ‘Aint Too Proud To Beg’ with Rick Astley.
